BASE MAPS

Spatial data for Turkey is available in both digital and print forms. Digital maps are provided in either Raster (JPEG, TIFF, BMP and other widely used bitmap formats) or Vector formats (DXF, PICT and common GIS software formats).

Administrative Boundary Maps IMAGINS provides the full range of census boundary files for Turkey (1:25,000) These feature province (il), districts and municipalities (ilÁe), and wards (mahalle). Base maps can be used in customers desk-top mapping operations.

Major Road Network Maps The national highway map of Turkey provides a significant starting point for customized vehicle-tracking and fleet management maps. This layer of information features major arteries and highways and for major cities these feature major and secondary streets. (1: 1,000,000 and 1:25,000)

Street Center-Line Navigation Maps Street Center-Line Map files provide detailed information for major urban areas. These files consist of multiple layers which reference street names, address ranges, road direction, and other features such as schools, hospitals, rivers, parks, railroad tracks and municipal boundaries.
